Founded in 2004 in the heart of the Northern Rhône, Cave Cluzel is a family-run estate based in Chavanay, with vineyards extending across the prestigious crus of Côte-Rôtie, Saint-Joseph, and Condrieu, as well as IGP Collines Rhodaniennes.
Brothers Vincent and Alexandre Cluzel work side-by-side, crafting wines that reflect the dramatic diversity of their terroirs—from steep terraced slopes with ancient stone walls (“chaillées”) to Rhône river plains and sunlit plateaus. With a commitment to sustainable viticulture and minimal intervention, all grapes are harvested by hand, and fermentations are carried out using indigenous yeasts.
Their state-of-the-art winery, built in 2012, houses thermoregulated tanks and a traditional barrel cellar. Reds are aged in Burgundian pièces (228L) for 6–18 months depending on the cuvée, while whites rest in demi-muids (450–500L) to preserve nuance and freshness.
Cave Cluzel wines embody the precision, elegance, and sense of place that have made the northern Rhône one of France’s most revered wine regions.
